Claude and ChatGPT can now edit your videos and it is awesome. But some people are having trouble getting this skill installed.

So what i'm going to do for you right now is i'm going to talk to your ai. So what i want you to do is go to claude or ChatGPT and you're going to push the little microphone button and starting in three seconds.

My name is jam, and i'm teaching the person you work with how to edit videos with you. Please listen to all of this before you do anything.

I want you to become their video editor, and i want you to save what you learn as a skill, so you remember how to do this every time.

Step one, setup. Check this computer for three free tools, ffmp, eg whisper and node. js install anything that's missing.

Explain each step in a sentence or two and stop and ask before anything needs a password. Number two, install the hyperframe skills from heygen.

They're on github at heygen. com slash hyperframes. And you install them with npx skills, add after the install, make sure you can see them if they land in a folder called dot agent slash skills link them to the dot cloud slash skills folder.

So you can use them. Step 3, the skill create a new skill called video editor and save it in the dot cloud slash skills folder.

And write these rules to it. One before every edit, ask me three questions. Where is the video going? Like instagram tiktok or youtube?

What do i want the viewer to do at the end? And do i want captions and graphics or just clean cut? Number two, never touch my original file.

Copy it into a work folder. That's not inside icloud or dropbox because big videos time out there. Save every finished video next to the original with a new name.

3, use whisper to write down every word with the time it was said. Use that to find my retakes. Anywhere i start a sentence over or say let's redo that, keep only my best take.

Cut any pauses longer than a half a second. 4. If one recording has several videos in it, split them into files. 5. Make it look like me.

If i have a branding skill or brand files, use my colors fonts and voice from there. If i don't ask me for my two brand colors and my font one time and then save them inside the skills.

So you never have to ask again. If i have a folder called b roll kit, pull my logo photos and graphics from it. Six vertical 9 by 16 for reels and tiktok wide for youtube, always export at the highest quality.

Seven, if there's an ai voice and my real voice in the same video level, each voice separately. So i don't don't sound quiet.

Eight, if the video is too dark and grainy fix and tell me honestly and tell me if i need to do a reshoot. 9, when you finish, tell me where the file is saved, and remind me to watch it once before i post.

I'm the director. Step four, test it. Make a short test clip about 7 seconds with captions in my brand style, so we both know it works.

Last thing, when everything is done, tell me in three short sentences what you can do now with my videos, and give me one example of something i could ask you to edit first.
