Everyone's editing their videos using claude code, but no one's telling you the actual step by step process, or they're locking this behind a resource.

So, i'm gonna show you everything, every prompt, every skill, every tool that you need to create your own ai video editor.

Now, first up, yes, you need claude code, but don't use the browser, use the desktop app. Then once you're in the code tab, you want to set it to local, and that way claude can access all of your files and footage.

Next is make a new folder, and call this the ai video editor, and then inside that folder, i want three subfolders, one called raw, one called references, and one called exports.

Now we need to install all of these github repos, so copy and paste all of these urls with this prompt on screen, so you can either type it out or just screenshot.

Then sign up to 11 labs, generate an api key, and give this to claude code, as it allows it to then transcribe all of your footage.

Next up, we need to train claude on your editing style. You can either mimic another creator's editing style by copying and pasting links from their tiktok and instagram, or to mimic your editing style, just copy and paste your own links, and i recommend giving at least three.

But i highly recommend giving it around 5. Then just use this prompt, and it's gonna tell claude to break down this editing style.

File and save it as a skill. Now just shoot your raw footage, and it can be in one take, using the camera roll, and then upload that to our folder that we made right at the start.

Then pick opus 5.5, and then use this prompt on screen, which will use your skills to edit your video. And that's it, there's no timeline, claude will edit your entire video, and to change anything, just prompt claude exactly what you want to change.
