成立六个月、尚无产品的芯片公司 Nuvacore 为何估值 25 亿美元？

How does a six-month-old company with no product get valued at two and a half billion dollars? Okay, so Ruters reported last week that NuvoCore, which is a chip startup in San Jose, is raising hundreds of millions at that valuation.

Six months old, nothing shipped. So here's what's really going on: the founder Jared Williams was Apple's chief CPU architect, so the chips in your iPhone was his team.

He left back in 2019, started a company called Nuvia, and Qualcomm bought it about two years later for $14 billion before once again.

It shipped a product and when nvidia is building is the part of the ai data center. Everyone really ignores gpus, get the headlines, of course, but every gpu needs a cpu telling it what to do, bossing it around, feeding it data, running the agent and nvidia expects to sell 20 billion dollars of its own cpu this year alone.

Nuva core is doing things backwards. They built the core and then decide the architecture last like building an engine before, you know, it's going to be a truck or a boat.

Now investors put 10.7 billion into chip startups in the first five months of this year that already beats all of 2025. Last time this team built a cpu, it got bought before it got shipped.

So i'm curious who's going to buy this one and it will be the same.
